Source & Age Verification

Effective October 1, 2009, the Southeastern Livestock Network, LLC (SLN) began providing service to Southeast producers with access to the Integrated Traceability Solutions (ITS) PVP for Source and Age verification.

The value of verification includes: proof you are doing what you say you are doing, access to progressive marketing options, and third-party (un-biased confidential evaluation.

Producer’s Role

· Record and maintain calving dates by group age or individual ages

· Complete enrollment forms /customer agreements

· Participate in an off-site phone audit

· Submit required data to ITS

Responsibilities of ITS:

· Manage data

· Manage tag allocation system

· Enroll participants

· Provide certificates to buyers

· Assure confidentiality

· Provide markets/buyers tools and resources to legitimately market source and age verified animals
